The Throne of Weapons has been created from guns exchanged for tools after the end of the civil war in Mozambique (1992). It expresses the power of art to transform weapons such as AK-47’s into symbols of peace and was created as part of a project supported by Christian Aid and is normallly housed at the British Museum.
