The fireworks to celebrate Liverpool’s 800th Birthday were launched at 22.00 from the two cathedrals and the Pier Head.
I suppose the best place to get a view of the whole show was from the Wirral waterfront but we opted for being a bit more close up and also much closer to home. We stood on Upper Duke St were we could see the Anglican Cathedral fireworks and also, in the distance, the Pier Head show.
It was an excellent 20 minutes and 07 seconds worth of pyrotechnics. My pictures aren’t great I’m afraid but here’s the final 30 seconds of the display.
I wonder what Liverpool’s 900th birthday will be like.
