Textiles by Karen Evans – Blackburne House

Also at Blackburne House in the conservatory and cafe areas until the end of May 2006 is an exhibition of textiles by Karen Evans.
Karen is a professional designer maker setting up her own textile business and makes one off fashion accessories to order. She shows at the Indigo Premiere Vision in Paris, the NEC and the new Designers’ exhibition in London.
There’s some interesting creations here, scarves, bags, collages, some created using recycled, vintage and found materials. The scarves are made form the latest individually sourced yarns.
