From Simon Howes – CALM Development Co-ordinator – Merseyside
Dear all,
CALM needs you! Launched on Merseyside 6 years ago in Cream, we’ve worked with just about everyone who is anyone in the music, entertaiment and sports industries. Cutting edge design, high profile events and quality promotion are all parts of what people recognise about the CALM campaign. Now, we’re a national charity and riding off the back of our recent MTV and billboard ad campaigns we’re asking for your help…
On Sunday 21st May there is over 60 people running in the BUPA GREAT MANCHESTER 10k RUN to raise funds for CALM. The money is much needed to enable CALM, to keep its helpline in operation and develop its campaign for more CALMzones around the country like the great one we have on Merseyside. (For more info on CALM have a look at our website: www.thecalmzone.net)
I’m running in memory of David Ward from Whiston who tragically committed suicide on the 12th March 05 aged just 21. With an average of 3 young men killing themselves everyday in the UK this is an easy way to help CALM tell everyone that “BEING SILENT ISN’T BEING STRONG…”
I’ve brushed off my trainers and have been running around like a nutter to get fit so if you’d like to support CALM please give me a boost by sponsoring me. Click the link below to donate and choose my entry in the “To Support” list:

Thank you!
