Sian Hughes who is based at Bridewell Studios in Liverpool is exhibiting four of her beautiful Cyanotype prints in the Climate Change exhibition at Rhyl Library, Museum & Arts Centre.
LLANFAIRFECHAN RICE CROP
The Cyanotype process offers the opportunity of layering images in blue and white. Here, I have used acetates of photographic images from Llanfairfechan, together with torn paper, to represent the Slate fences of North Wales and its temperate weather.
The rice grains reflect the exotic  possibilities for tropical crops as the climate warms.
I will also be running an Introductory Workshop to the Cyanotype process on Friday the 26th March in conjunction with the Exhibition.
Cost for the day £25
Please call Kim or Chris on 01745 882523 for bookings and more information.
Climate Change
27 Feb–10 Apr 2010
A selected exhibition in all media, from artists across the UK, on the theme of Climate Change. This is one of the greatest social, economic and political issues of our time and this exhibition provides a platform for artists to ‘have their say’ on this global problem.
