Look11 Photo Festival

Look11: Liverpool International Photography Festival will take place throughout the Liverpool City region from 13th May – 26th June.

Look11 is the North West’s newest and only large scale photography festival and will engage all corners of the city in the 6 week programme through events, exhibitions, community projects and conferences.

In line with Liverpool’s ‘Year of social justice’ and ‘city of radicals’ themes the festival centres on examining photography as ‘a call to action’. Over 150 photographers are presented in some of Liverpool’s main arts venues in over 30 exhibitions. Partner venues include the Bluecoat, Open Eye Gallery, FACT, The Walker Art Gallery, International Slavery Museum, St Georges Hall, Anglican Cathedral and CUC Liverpool.

“The festival will see the city come alive with photography with so many exhibitions in venues as well as on-street interactive projects and presentations in new and alternative spaces. Look11 promotes that anyone can be a photographer and the Capture Liverpool competition is central to the festival celebrations in that it is all about examining the immediate world we Inhabit, the time we are in and the people we know.” Says Daniel Cutmore, Look11 Festival Manager.
