dot-art at the Bluecoat
We run a program of art classes and courses, in a wide range of subjects, hosted by Liverpool’s landmark arts centre, the Bluecoat. All our sessions are delivered by experienced local tutors and teachers.
Evening courses run for 10 weeks and start in September, November and March, so keep checking back for new listings and see the online calendar below. If you would like further information, or to suggest a subject for future class, please get in touch.
life drawing
- Tuesday evenings, 6.45-9.30pm. Next 10 week course starts 29th November 2011. Cost: £160 (£16 per session)
- Saturdays, 10.30am-3.30pm. November 12th, December 10th 2011. Cost: £32

All life drawing classes are taught sessions, with instruction from experienced trainer and artist Roy Munday.
painting

- Saturdays, 10.30am-3.30pm. November 19th 2011, January 21st 2012. Cost: £32
The ten week painting course covers an introduction to the use of watercolour, acrylics and oil painting, while the Saturday classes will concentrate on one media per month. Classes will be taken by experienced artist and teacher John Kneen, who will take students through each stage in a relaxed and friendly manner.

A unique 10 week course allowing you the chance to try a new skill every week. Subjects for the winter course are: stained glass, digital photography, batik, ceramics, paper making, watercolour, book binding, stop motion animation, felt making and collage.

Experienced photographer and teacher Steward Ellett leads a guided walk around the architectural highlights of Liverpool looking at different ways of capturing photos using various in camera techniques. Dress for all weathers and bring your camera!
