BOODLES design competition deadline extended!
Boodles and Open Culture are looking for new and talented designers to create a single item of jewellery or trophy to celebrate Liverpool 2008 Capital of Culture. Boodles are contributing £10,000 to produce the winning design which will be displayed in the window of Boodles Liverpool and then donated to the collection of the new Museum of Liverpool.
The competition is open to non-professionals of all ages, whether still at school, students or simply budding unqualified designers – all are welcome.
Inspiration for designs should be drawn from the many different aspects of the City of Liverpool, its history, future, people, art, architecture, music and its culture! It does not need to include the ’08 logo – Deadline for entries extended to 17th October 2008.
Nicholas Wainwright, Managing Director, Boodles said… “We felt it vital that everyone had the opportunity to submit their designs and it necessary to extend the deadline to enable school children and students returning from their summer break to get involved.
As a company we have always been passionate about the business of jewellery and in particular design. We aim to combine beautiful and unique designs with the finest traditional values and we look forward to discovering a new design talent in our home city and bringing their ideas to life.”
