Adult Learning Exhibition – St George’s Hall

Adult Learning Exhibition – St George’s Hall

This years national celebration of informal learning – Adult Learners Week – will be taking place from Saturday 14th – Friday 20th May. The week will be launched in the Great Hall at St George’s Hall at 10am by music legend Henry Priestman (The Christians, The Mighty Wah) who will perform music from his solo album and talk about how you’re never too old to learn.

We have already confirmed a number of time-tabled taster sessions including a Zumba Class, a comic book class, a fine art class and ethnic jewellery making.

We also have a number of confirmed exhibitions which will offer interactive learning experiences throughout the day including silk painting and hand massage.

There will also be some historical tours of St George’s Hall lead by Steve Binns MBE and tours of the Cells with a courtroom re-enactement lead by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Frank Carlyle.

The day promises to be a great day out for all the family and we have a number of exhibition and workshop spaces still available.

If you would like the opportunity to promote any classes or workshops you deliver by exhibiting or delivering a taster session please contact helen.stephens@volamerseyside.org.uk
