9th Wirral Open Studio Tour, 2018.
65+ artists
35+ venues
1 weekend…
to answer the question: ‘What do artists do all day?’
For almost a decade, WOST has been welcoming 100s of visitors to its open studio weekend to see local professional and semi-professional artists from across the peninsula showcase their work.
This relaxed, informal and rapidly expanding event means art lovers have the opportunity to mooch through studios, homes, gardens and exhibition spaces to chat and engage with artists and makers of almost every discipline.
The tour’s aim is to encourage visitors understand the artists’ inspirations and creative techniques, share in their passion for creative arts and help celebrate this culture-filled weekend.
Each studio has its own way of welcoming visitors, whether it’s a live workshop or an arty chat and explanation of the working processes. Every studio is unique – as is every artist or maker who takes part.
It is almost impossible to visit every studio over the course of the event, so why not download a copy of the brochure and plan your visit around the artists who most interest you.
