In 2016 Hazel Thomson won the people’s vote for the Kriterion award at Williamson Art Gallery for her piece ‘Oak Tree’ and also received the runners up vote for ‘Magical forest’.
Hazel is the first artist to get both first and second place since the Kriterion Award started.
Earlier in the year Hazel was ‘artist in residence’ on Hilbre Island and her Hilbre paintings along with other canvasses will be on display at Wirral Country Park Visitor Centre, 1st-14th August 2016.
