Through our yearlong collaboration with Warrington’s community, young people, and creatives, we celebrate our town through arts, culture, people, and place.

These collaborations are at the heart of our vibrant summer festival, which animates spaces and places across the town centre with an accessible and dynamic line-up of performances, events and activities.

By presenting exceptional local and national creative talent, the festival programme will invite audiences of all ages to enjoy new experiences in their town.

About WAF

Warrington Arts Festival is a long standing combined annual arts festival produced by Culture Warrington; a charitable trust that manages the boroughs cultural venues; Pyramid Arts Centre, Warrington Musuem and Art Gallery and The Parr Hall.

Founded in 2011, the festival previously known as Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival, was created to provide a vibrant programme of contemporary arts events presenting local and national artwork.

Over the years the festival has grown and developed and in 2019 we introduced a new family friendly focus to the festival targeting a new audience, programming more accessible work in public spaces. This significant change was hugely successful and introduced a new key focus for our work.

In 2023 thanks to significant investment from the Arts Council England’s Place Partnership fund, Culture Warrington were able to continue to develop this new focus and relaunch as Warrington Arts Festival celebrating our town through arts, culture, people and place.

The new team have been working tirelessly over the past few months, meeting, chatting and consulting with hundreds of people from our town. This in-depth consultation has fed into our festival programme, ensuring that Warrington Arts Festival is created with, by, and for the people of Warrington.
