The 6 week block will combine exciting experimental and observational drawing exercises to develop your young artist’s creative skills and life-long love for art!

BLOCK 1: Wednesdays from 22 April – 27 May 16:00 – 17:30, £90 for 6 weeks

Programme:

dot-art Club varies by block so that your young artists can keep coming back for more new and exciting creative adventures.

Young artists will delve into the world of sketching and mark making using various materials, taking inspiration from famous artists to create fantastic drawings. New skills will be developed and discovered using thrilling techniques such as blind drawing, gesture and timed drawing, continuous and expressive line, drawing the world around you using still life, contour and cross contour drawing. Topics will change from week to week, including figurative sketching, creating humorous caricatures from portraits and developing perspective.

Tutor: Phil Disley

Phil is an award winning illustrator working with both traditional and digital drawing techniques for business and in education.

Graduating from The University of Northumberland at Newcastle Upon Tyne with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Phil first entered the marketplace with The London Evening Standard, consequently attracting further commissions from both UK and USA. Phil regularly appears in The Spectator and his longest standing column ‘Wry Society ’ for The Financial Times he still illustrates to this day. Phil has won numerous design and editorial awards and has drawn, taught and lectured at a variety of institutions and events.

There are a maximum of 15 places available on each session, so early booking is essential.

Cancellations / Refunds

Once you have made your course booking your are committed to it. This is because our courses have very small student numbers, and often sell-out and are unavailable to others. Therefore any cancellations may result in a place not being filled, or a course not being able to run.

Cancellations are permitted up to 30 days before the start of a course, and a full refund will be issued. Refunds will not be made for cancellations less than 30 days before the start of a course. If you are unable to attend due to illness, personal or professional commitments you do not have the right to a refund.

If you wish to cancel your place on a course that has not yet started and you have a friend or colleague who can take your place we can accommodate this substitution.
