The Contribution of the Arts and Arts Psychotherapies to Health, Wellbeing and Equality
The event will explore the contribution of the arts and arts psychotherapies to equality, mainly from social, disability and gender perspectives through presentations, performances, workshops, installations and films.
The day will open with representatives from the All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing presenting the new report ‘Creative Health: The Arts for Health and Wellbeing’.
Artists and arts psychotherapists from the UK, Europe and the USA will be part of this event, next to local professional arts companies. Patient perspectives will also be included and celebrated, while performances, installations and posters will showcase the work of PhD students and current research at the University in the area of arts for wellbeing.
