Estimated Waiting Time
Thursday 12th August 4pm & 7pm*
Thatto Heath Library
St Helens Borough Council’s Library Service are delighted to be bringing outdoor theatre to Thatto Heath this August…
ESTIMATED WAITING TIME: a new play that explores our need for human connection and celebrates bonds formed in unlikely places…
Set in the playground, outside Thatto Heath Library two local residents Alyssa (42) and Lewis (15) meet by chance one evening whilst both looking for a place to escape their home lives. Isolated and lonely, the pair find a commonality, forming an unlikely friendship through their shared frustration with family, the systems failing them, and a love of storytelling. They go on to share their mutual difficulties, their dreams and aspirations, and the things that hold them back, helping each other see a positive future.
We invite you to bring a blanket or a chair and join us in the park! Tickets are limited, so please only book if you are going to attend. Don’t worry if you forget a blanket or a chair, there will be foldable chairs available from the Library.
PARENTAL GUIDANCE: SUITABLE FOR 11+: Please be advised that this play contains scenes of smoking and the topics discussed may not be suitable for younger audience members
Presented as part of the award-winning Cultural Hubs programme funded by Arts Council England and delivered by St Helens Borough Council’s Library Service, which is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.
*7pm British Sign Language interpreted performance.
