This summer, young people aged 15-25 are invited to take part in a series of two-day creative workshops inspired by Tate Liverpool’s summer exhibitions Jackson Pollock: Blind Spots and Glenn Ligon: Encounters and Collisions. Details below.

  • SKILLED-UP! NEW MEDIA
    Monday 17 August and Tuesday 18 August 2015
    12.00 – 16.00
    Inspired by Jackson Pollock: Blind Spots, this session will explore digital imagery, GIF animations and new media skills. On Monday, participants will explore the exhibition and generate create and digital ideas for the following day’s activity. On Tuesday, the workshop continues at Foundation of Art and Creative Technology (FACT, 88 Wood Street, Liverpool, L1 4DQ) to work with Jen Ohlson, Tate Collectives Producer, in a creative session to learn new media skills.
  • SKILLED-UP! BEATS AND LYRICS
    Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 August 2015
    12.00 – 16.00
    At Tate Liverpool participants will explore Glenn Ligon: Encounters and Collisions and work with Ed Bruce and local performance poets Kyle Kerr and Nicky Tradd to make a creative response to the exhibition using visual imagery, lyrics and beat making.
