The People’s Glossary Workshop and Discussion Session

Join Tate Exchange participants and artist-researcher Emma Curd to explore the development of a new publication called ‘The People’s Glossary’.

‘The People’s Glossary’ will include research gathered at Tate Liverpool to outline a glossary of key words and concepts with individuals whose voices are not often heard in gallery spaces.

It is a co-authored project and under direction of the numerous groups and individuals who are involved, and invites the public to participate in this workshop. The publication wants to feature as many people’s narratives as possible so please come along and have your say.

We will be talking about how ‘The People’s Glossary’ will look and feel, while making some decisions as to what to include. As well as some drawing, writing, talking and a chance to co-produce content together!

This project aims to democratise the language encountered in museums and galleries, and is designed to disarm authoritative voices in these sites.
