“Women speak because they wish to speak, whereas a man speaks only when driven to speak by something outside himself-like, for instance, he can’t find any clean socks.” – Jean Kerr

TASC Ablett & Brafield is a collaboration between two Bergen based artists, Amber Ablett and Stacy Brafield. TASC use choreographed frameworks, often based on the collectivity of eating and food, to explore conversation-as-art and ideas of attention and social practices. Our projects and events seek to engage audiences in informal but in-depth discussions about art, culture and society and to enable open conversation about questions these might raise. TASC use food, taste and the social dynamics of the dining table as tools to focus and prompt dialogue.

Recently TASC has hosted events at Halka Art Project in Istanbul; ROOMARTSPACE and Vulpes Vulpes in London; at the Kunsthall, KRAFT and Entrée in Bergen; Kunstnerforbundet and Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo and a residency at Bragginn Studio, Iceland.
