What’s on Sunday 9 July 2017

Sacre Printemps
9 July 2017 | 1pm, 2pm & 3pm
Open Eye Gallery’s Winter Garden Space | FREE

Choreographers Aïcha M’Barek and Hafiz Dhaou create a visceral streetscape of today’s Tunisia, inspired by the pressures of building a new society. ‘Sacre’ is based on the life-sized silhouettes from the late Parisian street artist Bilal Berreni, which appeared in Tunis after the revolution six years ago. Dancers jostle, fight and compete among the 30 cut-out sculptures as well as joyfully uniting different voices in to one hope.

Ancient Modernity
9 July 2017 1.25 & 2.25pm
Open Eye Gallery’s Winter Garden Space | FREE

Dancers Aly Khamees and Zosia Jo will present a short extract from Zosia Jo’s Ancient Modernity, which will be performed in full at Liverpool World Museum on Saturday 15 July.
