As part of La Feria 2025, join us on Saturday 4th October for one of the festival’s most dynamic and family-friendly experiences: the Museum Takeover & Entrada, a full day of cultural celebration that travels from the heart of Liverpool ONE to the galleries of the World Museum Liverpool. Entry to all elements of the day is free, and everyone is welcome.

The festivities begin at 12 noon with Entrada, a vibrant open-air procession starting at Liverpool ONE and making its colourful way to the museum. Expect an explosion of rhythm, colour and energy as street performers, musicians and dancers representing a rich array of Latin American cultures fill the streets with traditional music, carnival energy and visual spectacle. This lively parade is a celebration of identity, movement and joy, capturing the very essence of La Feria.

From 12.30pm to 4.30pm, the World Museum Liverpool becomes a cultural playground as La Feria takes over multiple levels of the building with a day-long programme of engaging activities and performances. In collaboration with the Cuerpos del Tiempo project, which reimagines the museum’s Latin American collections, this immersive event offers something for all ages, from curious minds to seasoned culture lovers.

Throughout the museum, audiences can discover pop-up performances in the Atrium and the Latin Americas Gallery, where musicians and dancers will bring regional traditions to life. Dotted across the museum will be participants wearing traditional Latin American costumes, offering a vivid window into the fashion, fabrics and heritage of the continent, from the Andean mountains to the Amazon. The Theatre will host storytelling sessions rooted in Latin folklore and ancestral wisdom, while interactive workshops and family activities will encourage hands-on exploration.

Artists from across Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia, Costa Rica and more will share their cultural traditions and creativity, creating an environment that is both entertaining and educational. Whether you’re enjoying a live set, learning a new dance step, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the Museum Takeover promises a rich, memorable experience.
