Introduction to Needle Felting: Sleeping mice
This introduction class will walk you through all the felting essentials you will need to make a furry friend. By the end of the day, everyone will have made a small felted mouse to take home and the skills to do it again with even more complex designs.
For those who aren’t familiar, needle felting is the process of moulding wool fibres into distinct shapes through repeatedly pricking them with a specific type of felting needle. Once mastered you can make beautiful designs like Katies, the instructor for this introductory class. Her childhood surrounded by animals has given her an amazing eye when it comes to felting foxes, ferrets and even flamingos. An artist in her own right Katie also uses a variety of other mediums such as illustration and lino printing to exhibit her fascination with the animals.
If you like taming tangled tufts of twisting twine then you will love needle felting!
