10:00 AM – 4:00 PM GMT
Join our introduction to green wood carving class, part of Make Liverpool’s woodwork programme for beginners.
A great way to learn a new skill from scratch, this 6 hour hands-on class will take you through the different skills and techniques needed to create your own masterpieces.
Explore the art of green wood work and use ‘fresh green’ timber to create items. All of the skills learned in this course are the foundation skills for spoon carving, the focus of the class will be primarily on the understanding of techniques used to create a spoon. Green wood is much softer than seasoned timber and is therefore much easier to shape with hand tools.
Join our class and build your confidence in using a range of woodworking hand tools and techniques, while creating your very own spoon.
All tools, equipment and materials will be provided on the day, as well as builder’s tea and biscuits – naturally…
