Hear Professor Caroline Wilkinson in conversation with Jane and Louise Wilson.
Jane and Louise Wilson are identical twin sisters, who form an art partnership. They live and work in London and were nominated for the Turner Prize in 1999. Together they have created a number of influential exhibitions including ‘Undead Sun’ at the Imperial War Museum, London 2014-15 and ‘Suspended Time’ at Fundacao Calouste Gulbenkian, Lisbon 2010. Their works ‘Blind Landings (H-bomb Test Site, Orford Ness) #1-6’ are in the collection and on display at Tate Britain.
Professor Caroline Wilkinson, Director of Liverpool School of Art and Design, has an on-going collaboration with Jane and Louise through a shared interest in forensic investigation, faces and identity. Caroline has invited Jane and Louise to discuss their artistic practice and the influences and challenges through their career, and the artists will share some of their artwork with the audience.
