Inside Drawing
In this three hour workshop, your experienced tutor Josie Jenkins will allow you to explore the basic principles of drawing from observation focussing on the intriguing artefacts and beautiful architecture that can be found inside the Victoria Gallery and Museum.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, whether you are a beginner who wants to get creative and give drawing a go or an artist who wants to get back to basics, you will be led through both fun and focused exercises to help you think differently about observational drawing.
Please bring a sketch pad and pencils. You’ll also get the chance to try using other drawing materials provided as part of the workshop.
Tutor: Josie Jenkins is an award winning artist based in Liverpool, UK. She studied for her BA Hons in Fine Art (Painting) at Norwich School of Art and Design, the UK graduating in 2002. Josie has since exhibited in theUK and internationally. Josie is a director of Arena Studios and Gallery, an active artists’ studio group that has been an integral part of the grassroots Liverpool Art Scene for over thirty years. As an artist, Josie mainly works with painting and drawing, with themes focussing on the relationship between humanity and landscape.
