meet contemporary Liverpool based jeweller DeeLyn Walsh

DeeLyn is a jewellery designer and maker based in Liverpool. Originally from America, she resettled and trained in the UK, earning a Bachelors of Design First Class with Honours in 2010, specializing in metalwork and ceramics at Liverpool Hope University. She has been working as a self employed studio jeweller ever since, while continuing to broaden her jewellery skills with courses from Birmingham School of

Jewellery and other personalised classes offered by specialists. DeeLyn’s workshop is based in Flux Studios, a thriving arts hub in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, which she founded and manages. Her jewellery collections are exhibited at galleries and boutiques in the UK & US.

DeeLyn works predominately in sterling silver using traditional silversmith techniques. All pieces are hand formed using folding and cold forging. She also enjoys playing with alternative materials and processes when possible, currently adding rough pyrite specimens and manipulation of the surface with acid etching and keum boo. In previous collections she has worked with recycled guitar strings and cast resin.
Join DeeLyn, with our European Connections jewellery exhibition curator Kate Moult, to talk about wearing contemporary jewellery and have the unique opportunity to try some of her amazing pieces featuring in our spotlight cabinet display.

No need to book, just arrive between 5.30 – 6.30pm.
