Help to create an art installation for Knowsley Flower Show!
Join renowned sculptor Ruth Moilliet for an exciting FREE workshop at Kirkby Gallery, creating colourfully crafted flower sculptures from recycled plastic materials. Learn how to utilise discarded plastic to make beautiful, decorative blooms to take home for your enjoyment. Make a bold statement about using recycled materials to produce works of art. The pieces produced in the workshop will form part of a sculptural art installation at Knowsley Flower Show!

Ruth creates highly-finished sculptures inspired by the plant kingdom and made from a range of materials such as metal, glass and acrylic. She aims to draw attention to the intricacy and beauty of an individual flower and its ability to sustain itself through multiple life cycles. Her recent work is concerned with highlighting the issues of climate change and the need to find sustainable ways of producing art. She has exhibited her limited edition artworks both internationally and across the UK. Thanks to the Friends of Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum, we have one of Ruth’s sculptures, Seedhead, currently on display at a local school as part of our Love Art Loan Art scheme.
