Up to 20% of fabric is wasted in the production of denim clothing. Much of this waste ends up in landfills or is incinerated. In this workshop, our aim is to utilise discarded denim to piece together a bespoke tote bag made by your very own hands. Textile artist Lucianne Canavan will guide you through the process of following a basic pattern and using hand sewing techniques to construct your bag. You will then be encouraged to personalise your bag with embellishments, making it unique to you.
