Kirkby Gallery, in partnership with the Liverpool Independent Art School (LIAS), is introducing a new course to complement its offer of workshops and classes for adults.
LIAS is independently-run by some of Liverpool’s best creative talent, a school for the scribblers to the seasoned pros.
The first artist-led course for 2022 will be Life Drawing: a six-week course costing just £60 for the six sessions.
Please note that this is a flat fee for your place on the course, payable in full before the first session (Saturday 22 January 2022).
Over the six sessions we will explore drawing the human body using different models and a range of approaches from traditional to experimental including proportion, anatomy, inspiration from artists, varied materials and ways to free up our sense of play.
They are as suitable for those who have never drawn before as they are for practicing artists. Emphasis will be on discovery, practice and looking and exploring through drawing.
We will offer supportive feedback which can rapidly increase confidence by disarming your inner critic and allow you to see your own work in context with an analytical eye.
