COLLECTIVE ENCOUNTERS: QUEER WOMXN IN ACTION
What does it mean to be an activist? How have queer women in Merseyside resisted structural and everyday oppressions? How do our intersectional identities impact on our resilience? Where are the stories of hope?
This online storytelling and poetry workshop will celebrate queer women’s stories of
resilience, resistance and hope, producing an inspiring audio piece that will be presented as part of the festival. Bring your lived experience, your passion for social justice and a desire to get creative. This in an inclusive event for all womxn who have a connection to Merseyside. Collective Encounters is a Liverpool-based organisation that specialises in Theatre for Social Change. This event is part of Collective Encounters’ arts and heritage project Women in Action.
