Home and Away Exhibition

Liverpool’s long tradition of welcoming people from different backgrounds is at the heart of Home and Away, a new exhibition in St George’s Hall showcasing work by local artists whose practices are shaped by migration, mixed heritage and multiple cultures.

The exhibition brings together artists based across the city region, exploring what “home” means in a place where many people arrive from elsewhere and build new lives. Through painting, sculpture and installation, the project reflects on belonging, memory and shared space, while highlighting the strength that cultural diversity brings to Liverpool’s creative scene.

Organisers say the exhibition is as much about supporting local artists as it is about creating room for connection and conversation, offering the public a chance to engage with stories that are often under‑represented.
