SUMMARY:St George's Hall: Home and Away Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Liverpool’s long tradition of welcoming people from different
backgrounds is at the heart of Home and Away\, a new exhibition in St Ge
orge's Hall showcasing work by local artists whose practices are shaped b
y migration\, mixed heritage and multiple cultures.\n\nThe exhibition brin
gs together artists based across the city region\, exploring what “home
” means in a place where many people arrive from elsewhere and build new
lives. Through painting\, sculpture and installation\, the project reflec
ts on belonging\, memory and shared space\, while highlighting the strengt
h that cultural diversity brings to Liverpool’s creative scene.\nOrganis
ers say the exhibition is as much about supporting local artists as it is
about creating room for connection and conversation\, offering the public
a chance to engage with stories that are often under‑represented.
