BOOKING & MORE INFO

Join us for an engaging drawing workshop this new year. We’ll kick off with a setup of books and objects, allowing participants to dive into the art of still life.

Week 1: We’ll start with a free drawing style to get everyone comfortable, or we might explore looser techniques like blind drawing or line drawing. At the end of the session, participants can take a photo of their work and, as optional homework, try drawing the still life from the 2D image to compare with their observational drawing. This will set the stage for a discussion in the following week.

Materials and Techniques: Throughout the workshop, we’ll experiment with various materials beyond just pencils, such as chalk, pen, possibly ink (though it can be messy), and different types of drawing paper (off white, brown, black). We’ll also explore scaling up photographs and using grid techniques for more accuracy.

Preparation: Participants are encouraged to bring their own art supplies. A list of recommended items will be provided. We’ll be using a mix of materials, so feel free to bring what you’re comfortable with.

Setup: We’ll arrange the still life setup in a way that accommodates both sitting and standing positions, ensuring everyone has a good view and can work comfortably.

Come ready to explore, create, and discuss your artistic journey with us!
