Knowsley Urban Sketchers
Edge Hill University campus, Thursday 2 March

We are thrilled to announce the latest of our Knowsley Urban Sketchers workshops from Friends of Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This FREE workshop will explore the stunning Edge Hill University campus on World Book Day. There are many buildings, old and new, and beautiful green spaces for your drawing inspiration. Artist Anthony Ratcliffe will be leading the session, and will be on hand to give guidance and share his expertise.

The session will run 10am – 3.30pm in two sections as in previous workshops: drawing on location in the morning and then breaking for lunch; coming together for the ‘throwdown’ and group critique/discussion in the afternoon.

A coach will be available to assist participants in getting to and from the Edge Hill University campus in Ormskirk. The coach will depart from outside The Kirkby Centre building (L32 8XY) at 9.45am and will return to The Kirkby Centre for approx. 3.45/4pm.

Edge Hill University will be kindly providing a brief tour of the campus, as well as a room to serve as basecamp for the day, and tea and coffee.
Please note, all participants must bring their own sketching materials and packed lunch. Alternatively you can purchase lunch from one of the University cafes on site. As always, please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the location and weather.
