Join us for a bold and surreal evening of cinema as Fringe Flicks returns to DoES Liverpool!
Headlining the night is David Lynch’s The Grandmother (1970), a haunting mix of live-action and animation exploring themes of isolation, trauma, and solace through Lynch’s signature dreamlike style.
The evening also features an incredible lineup of experimental and subversive short films from around the world:
A Time of Two Joys (US): A joyful exploration of joy.
Aperture (Italy): Rebuilding a connection to one’s hometown.
Brother’s Horn (Iran): A rebellious sibling rivalry.
Bubbleman Superstar: Mission El Cobra (France): A secret agent’s chaotic mission to tear down walls.
Salaryman (Netherlands): A work party spirals into chaos.
Skinny Dip (Ireland): A revealing swim goes awry.
The Plant (US): A unique story created by drawing onto 35mm film.
✨ Exclusive Screen-Printed Poster: A limited-edition design by Emily Lansley, featuring glow-in-the-dark ink, will be available to purchase at the event.
