‘Storylines’ an Exhibition from Re-View Textile
The artists have explored the importance of story as it weaves through the layers of society. The exhibition shows work developed from traditional tales, cultural motifs and Liverpool’s heritage. There is also work focused on story telling in childhood, the narratives of daily life and the structure of personality.
Re-View Textile is a local textile artist network. They make 2D and 3D work using felt, dye, paint, stitch, print, weave, crochet and assemblage; sometimes using found and recycled materials. The artists exhibiting in this exhibition are Sue Boardman, Catherine Carmyllie, Helen Cooper, Jo Frankel, Viv Netherwood, Rosey Paul, Judith Railton, Ildiko Szabo, Julie James-Turner and Janet Wilkinson.
You are invited to a free ‘Meet the Artists’ event Fri 1st Nov 4.00 – 6pm – A chance to view sketchbooks, talk about the exhibition with the artists and see a mini performance based on one of the art works.
