SQUIGGLY LINES PRINT WORKSHOP

Join our Squiggly Line Block Print Workshop and learn how to make your very own abstract squiggly line art print using laser-cut blocks. Using traditional relief printing methods and a laser cutter, you’ll get the chance to craft your own personalized wood block. It all starts with drafting your squiggly abstract shapes on paper using a Promarker pen and pencil. Then, using the Promarker pen, you can add squiggly shapes and forms to your designs. The magic begins when your design is scanned and vectorized using Photoshop and Illustrator. The resulting artwork file can be used as a laser-cut file in Lightburn, a powerful laser-cutting software that can cut or engrave your design onto various surfaces. Use your custom wood block to create stunning artwork on paper, as a unique logo for your brand, or social media, or even incorporate it as an element or texture for your graphic style. The possibilities are endless!
Our expert instructor is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer who specializes in creating laser-cut blocks for artwork using plywood as her medium of choice. Plywood prints are renowned for their intricate textures, which depend on the pressure applied to the block.
This beginner-friendly workshop requires no prior experience – just bring your creativity and willingness to learn. Your custom wood block (A6 size) will be ready for you to pick up the following week, so don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to unleash your creativity and learn a new skill! Additional blocks can be created, A6, A5 & A4.
