A solo exhibition of new paintings and installations by Brendan Lyons.
A series of new works will occupy both exhibition spaces at the Bridewell Studios Gallery.
Through experimentation with the techniques of painting and the material of artists’ paint itself, Brendan Lyons uses the traditions and references of the genre as a base from which to investigate and experiment with the viewer’s perceptions and expectations. The Liverpool based artist’s work was exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery in ‘Refractive Pool: Contemporary Painting in Liverpool’ and the ‘John Moores Painting Prize 2020’.
12 October – 18 October / 12 – 4 pm daily / + by appointment.
