You will be working in our lovely art studio with access to a range of activities including painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles and crafts. Â There’s plenty of guidance from qualified artists to help you develop your ideas and work towards completed artwork. Â Either bring your own project ideas or work on our set tasks. Â A relaxing and inspiring day spent in the company of friendly folk. You can set your own agenda without the pressure of working to deadlines, exams or academic constraints. Â If you want to just come & paint, that’s fine but if you’re looking for guidance then we can help with that too.
There’s plenty of opportunity to get feedback on your artwork (if you want it) with constructive advice on developing your ideas, extending your skills and building on your successes. Â We can help you to select your best work to become a coherent body of work. If you need to, you can talk through your ideas for presenting & exhibiting your work and we can help you think through the writing of your artist statement. Working together in the inspiring environment of our creative studio space will encourage you to constructively evaluate your work and we will support you to become confident in talking about your practice and the ideas involved in its development.
Sessions run for 4 hours, once a week for 4 weeks and repeated regularly throughout the year. Park at the door in our private car park. Â Within walking distance of buses, trains and the town centre.
Next class: Thursday January 12, 19, 26, Feb 2
