‘The Tides Of Change’
An exhibition of oil paintings and mixed media by Liverpool artist Jan Sear
About Jan Sear’s work:
The work on display explores the concept of change concerning local maritime material and paintings relating to Liverpool 8 and Liverpool 17 architecture, the latter relating to change through urban decay and regeneration.
Jan also looks at how theatrical works concerning recent plays at the Everyman and the Liverpool Playhouse, more specifically ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘The Winter’s Tale’, can be metamorphosed by modern production techniques and values.
Her paintings are created with oil paints and mixed media.
