statement:		Peter Collins is an artist striving to create bold contemporary images. His most recent works have been pixelated, graphic paintings, constructed using repetition of form and colour.The resulting pieces draw on his computing background but are meticulously rendered using simple geometric shapes. He adds ‘My current area of interest lies within digital computer imagery and electron micrographs. Both of which inspire images that I choose to render using more traditional methods and mediums. Visually, the paintings aim to have an ambient, hypnotic affect on the viewer and an overall clinically modern appearance. They are a modern take on 60’s Pop Art. A comedic snapshot of life in the U.K at their time of creation’. Peter continues to work and live in his hometown of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
