Mixed Media Arts

Much of my work is concerned with social commentary and society’s patterns, repetitions and anomalies. I am more interested in the art world as a world populated by people rather than products. Therefore, I try to make work that I identify as having intellectual and spiritual integrity. Recurring lines of enquiry include: how identity is constructed and whether or not it is dependent on geographical specificity; how super-modernity is shaping not only our experience but also our epistemology; and enjoying histories embedded in spaces and objects.

Living in Liverpool, UK, since 2001, I am now based in the Bluecoat (www.thebluecoat.org.uk).

This autumn I will be producing a site-specifc painting for the reception of Liverpool-based web company Mando.

I also work part-time as the Arts and Culture Network Development Officer at LCVS and I’m in the throws of organising the inaugural Liverpool Fringe Festival for Summer 2008.
