2005-2008 BA (Hon’s) Fine Art, Painting & Drawing at University of Huddersfield
My recent paintings are inspired by Musical Theatre and films such as ‘Into The Wild’ and ‘Walk The Line’ based on true stories but facts are altered and idealised. This is my interest by taking an image of an historic event from World War two books or other history books or magazines, and creating an idealised place of fantasy and surreal environment that still has connotations to contemporary life issues.
