Gordon Baldwin & Matthew Harris / Saturday 2nd November 2019 – Saturday 23rd November 2019
We are delighted to exhibit, for the first time together, two makers who share a friendship and a love of music. We hope through this pairing to create a dialogue between Gordon’s ceramics and Matthew’s wall pieces – a conversation between makers.
Gordon Baldwin is one of the world’s most distinguished ceramic artists, a sculptural potter who has helped to redefine the expressive language of clay over the last fifty years.
Matthew Harris makes work that employs dying, cutting and hand stitching. It is concerned primarily with abstract imagery and the translation of drawn marks into cloth.
