SUMMARY:Bluecoat Display Centre: Bluecoat Display Centre: Gordon Baldwin &
 Matthew Harris
DESCRIPTION:Gordon Baldwin &amp\; Matthew Harris / Saturday 2nd November 20
 19 - Saturday 23rd November 2019\n\nWe are delighted to exhibit\, for the
first time together\, two makers who share a friendship and a love of musi
 c. We hope through this pairing to create a dialogue between Gordon’s ce
ramics and Matthew’s wall pieces – a conversation between makers.\n\nG
ordon Baldwin is one of the world’s most distinguished ceramic artists\,
a sculptural potter who has helped to redefine the expressive language of
clay over the last fifty years.\n\nMatthew Harris makes work that employs
dying\, cutting and hand stitching. It is concerned primarily with abstra
ct imagery and the translation of drawn marks into cloth.
