The Research in Special Education (RISE) project is making an in-depth investigation of the variety of perspectives and experiences regarding the concepts of inclusion and exclusion. The project will use photo elicitation methods with children and young people, their parents and teachers.
As an aspect of the dissemination of this research, five of the EHU researchers have been invited for a residency at Tate Liverpool art gallery. Tate ‘Exchange’ is a pioneering project working with more than 60 institutions and inviting the public to contribute to art events and workshops (TATE, 2017).
In the TATE ‘Exchange’ gallery and Clore workshop spaces the EHU researchers will be facilitating the creative exploration of understandings of inclusion via a week-long event. This residency will invite engagements with the photographs children have produced via a range of creative and online activities.
Every day in the Clore Learning Studio (11.00-12.00 and 14.30-15.30) there will also be the opportunity join a creative activity to share your views and produce an image or artefact. These activities are suitable for all ages.
