‘Puzzle Corner’.
“Puzzle Corner” refers to a photo in a local paper of a perplexed girl looking at one of my paintings in a Wandsworth library in the 1970s. This still happens… nothing’s changed! I maintain that an idiosyncratic vision is what you need to explore a personal creative quest. To quote master surrealist Max Ernst: ”the artist should never find himself” (even if he knew what he was looking for!).
