Glamorous Crochet with Queenie Lovecraft: The granny square
Learn basic crochet essentials and make your own glamorous granny square. Queenie Lovecraft is a creator of crocheted items, upcycled furniture, headwear and various eclectic art and craft work from maker Susan Morgan.
During this 2 hour class you will be taken thorugh all th steps to creating your own crocheted square. The ‘granny square’ can be use to make blankets, cusions, bags and much more.
During the class you will learn how to stitch into gaps, slip knots; chain stitch, treble crochet and shell design. You will use one or two colours (more depending how far you get.) to create your granny square. Various colour yarns will be available to try and all materials will be provided.
