Kimathi Donkor – artist talk

Join contemporary Black British artist Kimathi Donkor to view and discuss his work ‘UK Diaspora’, with a question and answer session with the artist afterwards.

‘UK Diaspora’ includes ten vibrant collages of objects and images symbolising British involvement in transatlantic slavery. Arranged like a map of Great Britain, it includes portraits of famous participants in the transatlantic slave trade like Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Francis Drake, as well as imagery from the artist’s visit to Cape Coast Castle in Ghana.

Part of the Collecting cultures project.
