“a funny, insightful and poignant piece that hits its mark with precision and intelligence” «««« Exeunt
Performers Patricia Rodríguez and Mercè Ribot collaborate with Bitch Boxer director Bryony Shanahan to tell the story of two elderly sisters sharing a life of outrageous defamation, tender reminiscing and pure madness, careering between affection and annoyance, in a multilingual, physically comic adaptation of Roger Simeon’s absurd text Tu i Jo (Premi Boira Prize for New Writing, 2010). But is their behaviour just eccentricity or something more destructive?
Little Soldier Productions was founded in 2010 to promote innovative cross-cultural artistic collaborations. Mentored by acclaimed British clown company Spymonkey, Little Soldier, use physical comedy, devising techniques and live music to produce funny yet touching shows; exploiting their Spanish backgrounds and English setting to create an individual take on new writing and classic texts.
Director Bryony Shanahan is co-founder of Snuff Box Theatre. Her recent directing work includes a UK tour ofChapel Street, and the award winning, critically acclaimed show Bitch Boxer (Old Vic New Voices Edinburgh season/Soho Theatre transfer).
