OPEN CALL: “Oh I Do Like To…”
The Hatch Gallery – New Brighton
“Oh I do like to…” — you know the tune… but how would you finish it?
This summer, The Hatch invites artists to respond to what they love.
A passion, a ritual, a place, a person, a memory…
Big or small, joyful or quietly subversive — whatever it is you do like to… let it lead your work.
Inspired by the colour, charm, and nostalgia of the British seaside in New Brighton, we’re looking for work that captures that feeling — playful, personal, heartfelt, or unexpected.
We’re accepting:
Painting • Drawing • Sculpture • Ceramics • Printmaking • Photography • Collage • Textiles
Exhibition Dates: 10 July – 12 September 2026
Deadline: Wednesday 10 June — 12pm
Free to enter
How to apply:
– Submit up to 3 works
– Include a short artist statement (max 250 words)

Whatever it is you do like to…
let it be your reason.
